Cursor
Cursor builds with your rules applied, and its background agents can pick up work from @alwen.
What changes
- Applies your conventions from the vault, compiled into .cursorrules
- Looks up past decisions before it changes how something works
- Picks up building work @alwen hands it, and reports back
Set up
In Alwen, open Tools and click Add to Cursor. Cursor opens and asks to install Alwen.
InstallConnectAllow on the Alwen page.
To have the rules in every project without asking, copy .alwen/.cursorrules from your vault into the project.
Ask Cursor: “What are my rules for this project?”
{
"mcpServers": {
"alwen": { "url": "https://api.alwen.ai/mcp" }
}
}What it reads and writes
Every write is a commit signed by Cursor, so you can see what it added and undo it.
Reads
- Your rules and profile, once per session
- Notes that match what you're working on
Writes
- What it learns, into inbox/cursor/ for the tidy-up to file
- Decisions, straight into journal/
- Suggested rules, which wait for you to confirm
- Task results, when it finishes work for @alwen
