GitHub Copilot
GitHub Copilot follows your rules in VS Code, and its cloud agent can take coding work from @alwen.
What changes
- Checks your rules and past decisions before it changes code
- Logs the decisions it makes, with the reason
- Takes coding tasks from @alwen in GitHub's cloud, with your token, and opens a pull request
Set up
In Alwen, open Tools and click Add to VS Code. VS Code asks to install Alwen; click Install.
When VS Code asks to sign in to Alwen: AllowAllow on the Alwen page.
Ask Copilot in agent mode: “What are my rules for this project?”
What it reads and writes
Every write is a commit signed by GitHub Copilot, so you can see what it added and undo it.
Reads
- Your rules and profile, once per session
- Notes that match what you're working on
Your vaultyou/alwen-vault
Writes
- What it learns, into inbox/github-copilot/ for the tidy-up to file
