Tidy-up and “still true?”
How Alwen keeps the vault useful instead of letting it fill up.
The tidy-up reads what arrived in the inbox since last time. How much it does depends on the plan.
On Free: weekly, by rules
- Files each capture into
knowledge/by its type and tags. - Merges exact duplicates.
- Links notes that share a title or a tag with
[[wikilinks]].
On Pro, Team and Business: daily, with AI
Everything above, plus:
- Merges notes that are about the same thing, even when the words differ.
- Links related notes by meaning, not just by title.
- Flags contradictions: when two notes disagree, both stay and each gets the other in
conflictsWithuntil you settle it. - Asks “still true?” about notes whose confidence has dropped — old, unused, or contradicted by something newer.
The “still true?” question
Every note starts at full confidence and loses a little over time. When it gets low, Alwen asks you in a digest — a Slack DM or an email — with three answers: keep it, update it, or archive it. Archiving moves the note out of the way; it doesn't delete it.
What it never does
- Delete a note.
- Change your rules. It can only propose.
- Overwrite your own edits.
